Description of Accident: Pilot lost control of aircraft in crosswind landing.
Description of Damage: Propeller strike, engine NOT disassembled with engine sudden stoppage suspected; LEFT wing tip damaged; left aileron damaged, left wing strut bent; Vertical fin damaged, aircraft flipped over in landing; rudder damage suspected.

Remarks: Inspection of this aircraft is highly recommended. TITLE NOTE: Title reflects a name discrepancy per the FAA that dates back to October 4, 1978. Specifically, the distinction of "Jr." was not carried over from buyer to seller (seller listed with "Jr." after the name....but that name was not listed as "Jr. when the name appeared as the buyer. This transaction was recorded between May 12, 1978, and October 4, 1978.

You are advised that the described aircraft is for sale "AS IS/WHERE IS" and written, submitted bids will be accepted no later than 4:30 p.m.(EST), 4/15/2018. Winning bidder will be notified immediately and agrees to provide wire transfer or money order. Salvage will not be released until receipt of your wire transfer or money order. All storage and handling charges accrued after 4/29/2018 12:00:00 AM will be the responsibility of the buyer.

  • Please note, the salvage/ wreckage storage facilities are NOT part of AIG Aerospace. AIG Aerospace DOES NOT maintain any control over the facility, it’s ownership, operating hours or schedule conflicts. All arrangements should be planned in advance with the storage facility contact as soon as possible to ensure a timely and orderly transfer of property.
